My time in Chile went really well. Sunday, the first whole day I was there, the church had a social gathering/grill-out/fundraiser. We ate anticuchos (shishkabobs) and choripanes (sausages). What was really neat about this event was the fact it was the first time that so many people outside of the team took part in organizing, planning and doing. It's neat to see the church growing, not only in numbers but also in service.
On Monday we went up a small mountain that is in the middle of the city. We drank mate and I really appreciated the view of the Andes from up there.
The rest of my time there was spent sharing meals with the different families on the team, visiting contacts of theirs and some sightseeing.
